No, I did not.
I was out taking pics and returning to Susans, heard the news that cousin Nick had broken his arm, just 4 months after my injury and broken arm. I thought this sign was very appropriate.
This sign was in the grounds of an old power dam, now a museum/vistor centre not far from Maple Ridge. Watch for pics

75 Rings
Walking in a park near my friends house, we came across these Fir Trees that had been cut down by the parks department of Surrey BC.
As far as we can tell, these trees appear to be healthy ( well they were ). We counted at least 20 of these giant trees cut down in their prime, posssibly over 100feet high. A passer by said they were told they were starting to rot and had become dangerous, my buddy worked in the forrest industry and his examination found they were healthy trees and would have lived another 100 to 200 years.
Here Roger counted 75 tree rings, one ring for each year.

1927 EclipseThis eclipse over northern England was witnessed by my father back then and I remember him telling me he had seen the eclipse.
These images I have on computer, I dont remember how I got them but it was about ten years ago at the time of another total eclipse in England ( I was in France for that eclipse)
I am posting these images for the eclipse Mailing list SEML

Prime Meridian, Happy Birthday
This month, the Prime Meridian is 125 years old, located at Greenwich, England and running north and south from North Pole to South Pole.
here I show my GPS unit showing its location atop Mt Kobau here in British Columbia, not far from my home in Oliver.
Notice the reading, not far to the west from here is the 120 degree line of Longitude, one third of the way around the planet from Greenwich.
